Mrs. Swenson has over 21 years of experience in education, having taught grades PreK through 6th and served as an Instructional Coach. She graduated from Louisiana College in 2004 with a degree in Elementary Education and earned her Master’s in Early Childhood Education from the University of Phoenix in 2011. Her Montessori credentials include a teaching certification from CGMS (2020), a Coaching Certification from the National Center for Montessori in the Public Sector, and a School Leadership certification from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies (2022).
Currently, in her first year as Assistant Principal at PES, Mrs. Swenson is dedicated to boosting student success through teacher coaching, fostering strong relationships, and creating an engaging, supportive environment. Outside of school, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Josh, and their three children, reading, and watching Netflix. Mrs. Swenson believes in empowering every child to think critically and solve problems, shaping them into productive members of society.
